Skims to the rescue! While an accepting an award for the undergarment company she launched, Kim Kardashian thanked her shapewear for protecting her from a wardrobe malfunction, because even A-listers break zippers.
Attending the Wall Street Journal’s Innovator Awards in Pete Davidson’s New York City, Kardashian donned a tight brown leather dress with a zipper along the back, from the Skims collection with Fendi. According to TMZ, the event was held at the Museum of Modern Art, and Kardashian was there to accept the award for brand innovator. Sources say her zipper came undone while she was seated at her table, and designer and Fendi artistic director Kim Jones and actor Demi Moore had to help her fix it. Thankfully, because Kim was wearing Skims underneath, there was no “wardrobe malfunction” revealing anything she'd rather have covered up. When Kardashian took to the podium to accept her award, she thanked her Skims for their help.

For the event, Kardashian accessorized with matching gloves, snake-print boots, Tiffany & Co. diamond earrings, a diamond bracelet, and a heart-shaped seven-carat diamond ring, per Entertainment Tonight.
On Instagram, Kim’s mom, Kris Jenner, celebrated her daughter’s award, writing, “Congrats @kimkardashian on being awarded Brand Innovator of the Year for @skims at the 2021 WSJ Magazine Innovator Awards!!!! What an incredible achievement!!! I am so proud of you and of the amazing company you have built!!”
